Optimal IT owns and operates The School Volunteer (the Web Site). Only registered users may access the restricted areas of the Web Site. Schools or other organizations may use the Web Site once the organization has established an account with and become an Account Holder with the Web Site. Account Holders may restrict user registration on that account. Users become registered after they populate the online form and submit their information to the Web Site.
The Web Site will maintain collected information for an indeterminate period and may delete it at any time.Information Collection
The Web Site does not collect personally identifiable, non-public information. Users agree to conform to this policy as a prerequisite to using the Web Site.
Optimal IT may use passive tracking mechanisms such as cookies and log files to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movement and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Persistent cookies enable Optimal IT to track and target the aggregate interests of Web Site users to enhance the experience on the site.
A note about Cookies and passive tracking technologies: A cookie is a piece of data stored on your computer that allows the Web Site to remember that it has previously communicated with your browser. The Web Site may use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once a user closes his or her browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on your hard drive for an extended period. Users can remove persistent cookies by following Internet browser help file directions. Like most standard Web site servers, the Web Site may use log files to collect non-personally identifiable information. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp and number of clicks.Information Use
The Web Site and Optimal IT will not intentionally divulge personal information to third parties such as marketing companies.
Optimal IT will disclose your personal information to law enforcement or other government officials, if Optimal IT in good faith believes a subpoena or other legal document compels Optimal IT to disclosure your personal information.
The Web Site processes information users provide to facilitate communication among volunteers, Committee Chairs and the Account Holder.
For example, volunteer contact information may appear on a committee roster.
Optimal IT may use your contact information to provide you with materials about Optimal IT or our products and services, including new content or services at the Web Site. Optimal IT may provide you with these materials by phone, mail, facsimile, or e-mail.
